The document was addressed to the king of Great Britain King George Ill. The document was written because the thirteen colonies are demanding their independence from Britain, because the Americans are tired of being controlled by a bunch of tea sipping-cracker munches. I believe that some of the harsh things that the king spoke of were unnecessary.
For example, ‘The history of the present king of Britain is a story of repeating injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment Of an absolute tyranny over these states. ” In other words it means the king has been causing pain repeatedly he’s taken peoples property by force. Another example from the story is “he has plundered our seas, ravaging our coasts, burned all of our towns, and also destroyed the lives of our people. ” This would mean he has nothing else to do so he would rather take the lives of our precious one.
Then after that Jefferson shouts out “give e liberty or give me death” and he was willing to be charged with treason just so that the Declaration of Independence would pass. Jefferson also says that the British harass people to eat up their food and starve to death. Also that they would intercept their trade ships and take all the stuff that were on the ship. There could be many reactions from the audience due to this document but to narrow it down there are a friendly and a hostile audience. I think a friendly audience would agree with the statements that Jefferson said, because the audience would also be fed up tit all of the violence.
But on another hand the hostile audience would not like what Jefferson says because it is going against what they want to hear. The hostile group would also become very defensive and are going to argue with your beliefs and what you think should be done. But no matter what they think at the end there will be a joined audience that will share the same beliefs. Many ideas from the declaration of independence are very important because we use them in our everyday lives. We use the laws that are in the document to find justice in our courts and in the environment.
But within those laws there are ten laws that are very important and those are our right, and no-one can take those away from you. If we never paid attention to those laws the United States would be in a crises or a major dilemma. But then again the world is very corrupt with all kinds Of problems. But there was this time when I was 7 years old my mom and I went to the store, I really wanted something so I ran to go ask my mom. And when I went to ask my mom to buy it she said no, so I hid it in a spot that I knew no one would get it.
And hen it was time to leave I ran over to the item I wanted took it. And the next time we went to that store there was a sign that said “no stealing smile to the camera. ” was very luck that I didn’t get caught but know that was a bad thing to do. The American Crises, Number 1 By: Thomas Paine On December 23, 1776 in a place unknown The American Crises, Number 1 was happening. This document was addressed to inform all Americans that the United States would like their independence away from Britain, because of the abuse. The Americans are tired of being little workers for the British.
For example as I seen on one of the pages it show a English man pulling the men by strings, and the men are trying to escape from being slaves. In my Opinion I believe the British are more than capable Of doing their jobs that they need to do. But no they are to busy washing their hands and laughing to the lamest jokes EVER. In the text I’ve found some quotes that would most likely interest you. It says “Heaven knows how to set an appropriate price up on its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated. This means although death is good onto always take freedom for granite but you should be grateful that you able to wake up the next day. Here is another quote “Britain, with an army to enforce here tyranny, has declared, that she has a right (not only tax) but “to bind us in all cases whatsoever,” and if being bound in a manner IS it not slavery, and then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. ” Now with that meaning Britain are being animals and bringing terror to the eyes of Americans, so torturing people, hurting them and binding them. Is that not considered slavery?
And if there were such a thing like slavery what loud it be like and what would it be called? In a friendly audience we hope that they agree with the document, because the English like Americans are like animals. Americans to them are puppets in order for something to get done they would pull you by strings. In a hostile audience they would say that people are rugs, you can step on them all you want but you still don’t clean them off. They also think the we Americans can be thrown around like rag dolls. Basically the whole point of this document in my perspective is to have respect for other and don’t let others step on you.
